If you just want to get a taste of the large format world or just want a kick start to get going, we've scheduled a couple of days where you just have to turn up in the morning and we can get you using some of our gear to take a few photos. We'll go through all of the basics of using a large format camera and we'll get you out their to take four of your own pictures. We'll then develop these and send them to you in the post. What a great present for yourself or one of your photo taking friends or relatives!

We will show you around the large format camera and explain the basics of focusing and metering – the most daunting aspects of large format photography, and also explain about the accessories you need to get up and running in large format landscape photography. By using our equipment you can get a feal for this wonderful form of landscape photography without the expense of purchasing your own equipment.

Once we have gone over the basics we'll test your new found knowledge out in the the field.

Along with your day's tuition we will also supply you with equipment buying notes – pointing out the best equipment to buy and where to buy it from. Our information pack will also provide you with an excellent list of resources as well as field notes that will help you recap what you have learnt throughout the day.

Our workshop, on the 13th November will be in the genteel White Peaks, taking in The Roaches, an edge that offers many photographic opportunities what ever the weather.

We take to the seaside at the picturesque North Yorkshire village of Robin Hood’s Bay for our December 11th workshop.
